Fear of Bridges

I often have panic attacks on large suspension bridges. I live in New York City and have become totally terrified on the Verrazano, Brooklyn and Williamsburgh Bridges. My father was a civil engineer. His first job was the suspension bridge at Ivy Lea in the Thousand Islands. Apparently it had to be retrofitted. He was a little nervous crossing his own creation. When I was six-years-old, I asked him, "Do bridges like this ever fall down?" Sometimes, he said.
